WARNING: Check that the equipment is functioning properly prior to each surgical intervention. Ensure that the correct video image appears on all video monitors before beginning each intervention. It is recommended that a replacement system is kept available. WARNING: Perceived electric shocks may be experienced when using the camera system in conjunction with electrosurgical units. WARNING: Electrostatic discharge (ESD) may be perceived as an electric shock when touching the camera system for the first time. In the event of image loss due to ESD, switch the camera control unit off and back on again to restore the image. WARNING: When using high frequency surgical accessories, care must be taken to avert contact between the HF surgical device and the endoscope or endoscopic camera. Inadvertent contact may represent a thermal hazard to the surgeon.

HINWEIS: Den Kamerakopf in einen geeigneten Sterilisationscontainer (z. B. 39301 Z3TS) legen. Der autoklavierbare Kamerakopf und das Kamerakopfkabel müssen im fraktionierten Vorvakuumverfahren (DIN EN ISO 17665-1) bei 134 °C – 137 °C mit einer Mindesteinwirkzeit von 4 bis maximal 18 Minuten sterilisiert werden. Es wird empfohlen, die Kameraköpfe für min. 4 Minuten trocknen zu lassen, damit der Kartenstecker vor dem Anschließen völlig trocken ist.* Nach der Dampfsterilisation die Kameraköpfe erst nach Abkühlen berühren. VORSICHT: Den Kamerakopf nach dem Herausnehmen aus dem Dampfsterilisator nicht in kalte Flüssigkeit tauchen. CAUTION: Of the camera heads compatible with IMAGE 1 HUB™ HD and IMAGE1 S™ only, IMAGE1 S™ H3-ZA (TH 104) is autoclavable. NOTE: Place the camera head in a suitable sterilization container (e.g. 39301 Z3TS). The autoclavable camera head and the camera head cable must be sterilized using a fractionated prevacuum procedure (DIN EN ISO 17665-1) at 134 °C – 137 °C with a minimum exposure time of 4 minutes and maximum of 18 minutes. It is recommended to leave the camera heads to dry for at least 4 minutes, so that the card-edge connector is completely dry before its insertion.* After steam sterilization, the camera heads should not be touched until adequately cooled. CAUTION: Do not immerse the camera head in cold liquid after removing it from the steam sterilizer. Due to the ‘temperature shock’, this may result in damage to the camera lens and invalidation of the warranty.

CAUTION: Do not leave the camera head in the solution for any longer than 60 minutes. To finish, rinse the camera head three times with sterile water. Each rinse should be for a minimum of 1 minute in duration. Discard the water after each rinse, as it will be contaminated with the disinfectant solution. Use fresh sterile water for each rinse. Thorough rinsing of the camera head with sterile water is very important for removing any residual disinfectant. Dry the camera head and the card-edge connector with a lint-free, sterile cloth. Ensure that the card-edge connector is completely clean and free of moisture before inserting it into the camera processor. Wipe the camera head connector with isopropyl alcohol to remove any residual disinfectant.

Zum Abschluss spülen Sie den Kamerakopf dreimal mit sterilem Wasser ab. Jeder Abspülvorgang sollte dabei mindestens eine Minute dauern. Spülwasser am Ende jedes Abspülvorgangs ablaufen lassen, da es durch die Desinfektionslösung verunreinigt ist. Für jeden Abspülvorgang frisches steriles Wasser verwenden. Das sorgfältige Abspülen des Kamerakopfes mit sterilem Wasser ist sehr wichtig, um sämtliche Desinfektionsmittelrückstände zu entfernen. Den Kamerakopf und den Kartenstecker mit einem flusenarmen, sterilen Tuch abtrocknen. Der Kartenstecker muss absolut sauber und trocken sein, bevor er an den Kameraprozessor angeschlossen wird. Behandeln Sie den Kamerakopfstecker mit Isopropylalkohol, um eventuelle Desinfektionsmittelrückstände zu entfernen.

The end of the product’s service life is largely determined by wear, reprocessing methods, the chemicals used and any damage resulting from use.

ADVERTENCIA: No deje el cabezal de la cámara durante más de 60 minutos en la solución. Por último, enjuague el cabezal de la cámara tres veces con agua estéril. Cada enjuague debe tener una duración mínima de un minuto. Al final de cada proceso de enjuague desechar el agua, ya que se ha ensuciado con la solución de desinfección. KARL STORZ shall be liable for failure or deterioration in the safe operation, operational reliability, and performance of this equipment only subject to the following conditions: • all assembly operations, system expansions, readjustments, modifications or repairs have been performed by a person or persons duly authorized by KARL STORZ; • all electrical installations at the location in which the unit is connected and operated meet the applicable laws and standards; and • the unit has been used in accordance with its operating instructions at all times.

Garantie

Die Garantiegewährleistungen können Sie den Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen von KARL STORZ entnehmen. Das Medizinprodukt ist immer an die für Sie zuständige Niederlassung (siehe Kapitel „Niederlassungen“) auch während der Garantiezeit einzusenden. Eigenmächtiges Öffnen, Reparaturen und Änderungen am Gerät durch nicht autorisierte Personen entbinden uns von jeglicher Haftung für die Betriebssicherheit des Gerätes. Während der Garantiezeit erlischt dadurch jegliche Gewährleistung.

Limitation of liability

Als Hersteller dieses Gerätes betrachten wir uns für die Sicherheit, Zuverlässigkeit und Leistung des Gerätes nur dann als verantwortlich, wenn: • Montage, Erweiterung, Neueinstellungen, Änderungen oder Reparaturen durch von KARL STORZ autorisierte Personen durchgeführt werden, • die elektrische Installation des Raumes, in dem das Gerät angeschlossen und betrieben wird, den gültigen Gesetzen und Normen entspricht und • das Gerät in Übereinstimmung mit der Gebrauchsanweisung verwendet wird.

Warranty

The guarantees provided can be found in the Standard Conditions of Business of KARL STORZ. The medical device must always be sent to your local subsidiary (see ‘Subsidiaries’ section), even during the warranty period. Opening the equipment or performance of any repairs or modifications to the equipment by unauthorized persons shall relieve us of any liability for its performance. Any such opening, repair, or modification performed during the warranty period shall void all warranty.
