6. 12. 1 Version A – indirect suction (suction for CALCUSON) When there are solid components in the suctioned liquid such as stone concretions (urology), there is a risk of perforating the pump head tubing. In this case, it is recommended to connect a suction bottle (see accessories) between the suction instrument and the ENDOMAT ® SELECT (Fig. 36). Use disposable turbing set 031647-10 for indirect suction (Fig. 37).

CAUTION: When there are solid components in the suctioned liquid, the pump head tubing can be perforated and the ENDOMAT ® SELECT can be contaminated.

NOTE: When the suction bottle is filled with water, the air volume of the suction bottle is reduced. One advantage of this is that the liquid is suctioned faster on starting suction on the ENDOMAT ® SELECT (smaller dead volume). A second advantage is that almost no fluid will be suctioned after the suction on the ­ENDOMAT ® SELECT has been stopped.

Place the outflow tube on the tubing cartridge (‘Waste’ tube at bottom) into a collection container (Fig. 42). 7. Attach the blue end of the 2nd tube in the tube set (without cartridge) onto the free bottle connection tube (see arrow Fig. 40). 8. Connect the orange end of the tube to the (transducer) instrument (see arrow Fig. 41). NOTE: The suction bottle must be placed at the height of the patient to prevent it from filling up due to the height difference between the patient and the suction bottle.

6. 13. 2 Spülfluss vorgeben (ENT/NEURO) In Verbindung mit Spülschäften dient diese Rollenpumpe mit der Prozedur CLEARVISION® der Reinigung des distalen Objektivs (Endoskopfenster). Für die Dauer der Aktivierung durch den Fußschalter (siehe Zubehör) spült die Pumpe Flüssigkeit über das distale Objektiv. Hier wird zwischen 2 Stufen des Fußschalters ­unterschieden: Linsenreinigungsmodus starten (Stufe 1) Betätigen des Fußpedalschalters bis zum ersten Widerstand (Pedal halb hinuntergedrückt = Stufe 1) startet die Spülpumpe im Linsenreinigungsmodus. Durch ein fortwährendes Oszillieren des Pumpen­ kopfes werden Flüssigkeitstropfen vom Objektiv wieder zurückgezogen. Mit Loslassen des Fußschalters wird ein angefangener Zyklus vollständig beendet und abschließend wird durch eine Drehrichtungsumkehr des Pumpenkopfes Restflüssigkeit zurück in den Spülschaft gesaugt. Dauerspülmodus starten (Stufe 2) Wird das Fußschalterpedal schnell bis zum Anschlag nach unten gedrückt (Stufe 2), wird Spülflüssigkeit so lange und ohne Oszillieren durch den Spülschaft zum Objektiv gepumpt, wie das Pedal betätigt wird. Im Anzeigefeld D wird der Soll-Wert (digitaler Zahlenwert mit orangefarbenen Begrenzungsmarkierungen) und der Ist-Wert (weiße Balkenanzeige) für den Spülfluss (in ml/min) angezeigt (Abb. 46). 6. 13. 2 Specifying the irrigation flow (ENT/NEURO) In combination with irrigation sheaths, this roller pump is used to clean the distal lens (endoscope window) during the CLEARVISION® procedure. The pump delivers liquid via the distal lens for as long as it is activated by the footswitch (see Accessories). A distinction is made between 2 footswitch positions: Starting the lens cleaning mode (position 1) Press the footswitch pedal until you meet resistance (pedal semi-depressed = position 1) to start the irrigation pump in the lens cleaning mode. The continual oscillation of the pump head removes drops of liquid from the lens. When the footswitch is released, an ongoing cycle will be fully completed, and the subsequent change in rotation direction will cause any remaining liquid to be suctioned back into the sheath. Starting the continuous irrigation mode (position 2) If the footswitch pedal is quickly pressed down fully (position 2), irrigation liquid will be pumped through the irrigation sheath to the lens with no oscillation and for as long as the pedal is pressed.

6. 13. 2 Especificación del flujo de irrigación (ENT/NEURO) En combinación con vainas de irrigación, esta bomba de rodillos sirve para la limpieza del objetivo distal (mirilla del endoscopio) con el procedimiento CLEARVISION®. Iniciar el modo de irrigación continua (nivel 2) Si el interruptor de pedal se presiona rápidamente hacia abajo hasta el tope (nivel 2), a través de la vaina de irrigación se bombea líquido de irrigación sin oscilación hacia el objetivo en tanto se mantenga el pedal accionado. En el campo indicador ❹ aparecen representados el valor nominal (valor numérico digital con marcas de limitación de color naranja) y el valor real (indicador de barra blanca) del flujo de irrigación (en ml/ min) (fig. 46).
