The cold light fountain HALOGEN 150 may only be used by physicians and medical assistants who have a corresponding specialized qualication and who have been instructed in use of the unit.

Das Gerät darf nur in medizinisch genutzten Räumen benutzt werden, deren elektrische Anlagen nach den national gültigen Vorschriften installiert sind. Es ist nicht für den Betrieb in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen bestimmt. Dies bedeutet u. a.: Bei Verwendung von leicht brennbaren und explosionsfähigen Inhalations-Anästhesiemitteln und deren Gemischen darf das Gerät nicht in der dargestellten Gefahrenzone betrieben werden. Dieses gilt auch für leicht brennbare und explosionsfähige Chemikalien, z. B. Hautdesinfektions- und Flächenschnelldesinfektionsmittel. Das Gerät ist mit einer Steckvorrichtung für denPotentialausgleich ausgerüstet. Diese nach Maßgabe der national gültigen Vorschriften anschließen.

The unit may only be used in medical rooms whose electrical systems have been installed in accordance with applicable national regulations. It is not intended for use in hazardous zones. This means, for example, that when using easily combustible and explosive inhalation anesthetics or mixtures thereof, the unit must not be operated inside the hazard zone shown in the diagram. This also applies for easily combustible and explosive chemicals, e.g. skin disinfectants and fast-acting surface disinfectants. The unit is equipped with a connector for attaching a ground line. It should be connected before power is applied to the unit in compliance with current national regulations.

El equipo sólo podrá ser utilizado en espacios médicos cuya instalación eléctrica haya sido efectuada de acuerdo con las normas nacionales de seguridad vigentes. El equipo no está previsto para ser utilizado en zonas expuestas a posibles explosiones. Esto signica, entre otras cosas: Si se emplean productos anestésicos para inhalación fácilmente inamables y explosivos o sus mezclas, no podrá utilizarse el equipo en las zonas calicadas como peligrosas por este motivo. Der Anwender hat sich vor der Anwendung des Gerätes von der Funktionssicherheit und dem ordnungsgemäßen Zustand des Gerätes zu überzeugen. Während der Behandlung unter Verwendung der Kaltlicht-Fontäne HALOGEN 150 muss der Patient mit der üblichen medizinischen Sorgfalt behandelt und beobachtet werden. Dazu gehört insbesondere die Sorge um sterile Applikationsbedingungen, sofern die Art des Eingriffs dies erfordert.

It is the user’s responsibility to make sure the unit is safe and operates properly before using the unit. During treatment using the cold light fountain HALOGEN 150 the patient must be treated and kept under observation with the usual medical care. This includes keeping a check on the progress of treatment, as well as monitoring sterile application conditions where required by the type of intervention.

El usuario debe comprobar la seguridad de funcionamiento y el buen estado del aparato antes de cada aplicación. Durante el tratamiento bajo el empleo de la fuente de luz fría HALOGEN 150 el paciente debe ser tratado y observado con los cuidados médicos habituales. Das Gerät ist mit einer Steckvorrichtung  für den Potentialausgleich ausgerüstet. Lassen Sie die Erdung ggf. durch sachkundiges Personal durchführen.

The unit is equipped with a connector  for attaching a ground line. The unit’s ground line should be installed by a qualied electrician.

Netzsicherungshalter  entnehmen (siehe Abschnitt »Sicherungswechsel«, S. 15) und Spannungswahlmodul herausnehmen.

Remove the power fuse holder  (see section “Fuse replacement”, page 15) and take out the voltage selection module.

Dazu Lichtentnahmestelle  durch Drehung entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn abschrauben. WARNUNG: Blendgefahr! Die Lichtquelle nicht ohne einen Lichtkabeladapter betreiben.

The light outlet point  can be unscrewed if necessary and replaced with adapters for light cables from other manufacturers (see KARLSTORZ catalog TELEPRESENCE). To do so, unscrew light outlet point  by rotating counterclockwise. WARNING: Danger of glare! Do not operate the light source without a light cable adapter.

WARNUNG: Vor sämtlichen Reinigungsarbeiten das Gerät vom Netz trennen! Das Lampensystem muss abgekühlt sein. VORSICHT: Unbedingt vermeiden, dass Flüssigkeit in das Gehäuse eindringt.

WARNING: Always pull out power plug before cleaning! Make sure the lamp has cooled down. CAUTION: Avoid allowing uids to enter the unit.

Die Außenächen des Gerätes mit einem desinfektionmittelbefeuchteten usenarmen Einmaltuch wischend reinigen. Zur Wischdesinfektion empfehlen wir ausschließlich Flächendesinfektionsmittel (keine alkoholischen Konzentrate wie z. B. Schnelldesinfektionsmittel) sowie »Einwegwischverfahren« auf der Basis von Ammoniumchloriden.

Wipe-clean the exterior surfaces of the unit with a low-lint disposable cloth moistened with disinfectant. For wipe-down disinfection, we recommend using only surface disinfectants (no solutions predominantly containing alcohol such as rapidaction disinfectants) and ‘disposable disinfectant methods’ based on ammonium chloride.

Limpie las supercies exteriores del aparato frotándolas con un paño desechable con poca pelusa humedecido con un producto desinfectante. Eine vorbeugende Wartung ist nicht zwingend erforderlich. Regelmäßige Wartungen können aber dazu beitragen, eventuelle Störungen frühzeitig zu erkennen und so die Sicherheit und Lebensdauer des Gerätes erhöhen. Wartungsdienste können bei Ihrer zuständigen Gebietsvertretung oder beim Hersteller erfragt werden. Unabhängig von den in den verschiedenen Ländern vorgeschriebenen Unfallverhütungsvorschriften oder Prüfungsintervallen für Medizingeräte empfehlen wir eine Funktions- oder Sicherheitsüberprüfung des Gerätes mindestens einmal im Jahr. Detaillierte Hinweise entnehmen Sie bitte der jeweils gültigen Version des Service Manuals, Bestellnummer SV 3515 (englische Version).
