Entnehmen Sie die Kaltlicht-Fontäne XENON NOVA® 175 und das Zubehör vorsichtig der Verpackung. Überprüfen Sie die Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit und auf eventuelle Beschädigungen. Sollte die Lieferung Anlass zur Reklamation geben, so wenden Sie sich bitte umgehend an den Hersteller oder Lieferanten. Wenn möglich, bewahren Sie die Originalverpackung auf, sie kann bei einem Transport des Gerätes nützlich sein.

Carefully unpack the cold light fountain XENON NOVA® 175 and remove the unit and its accessories from their packaging. Check for missing items and evidence of shipping damage. File any complaints with the manufacturer or supplier immediately. If possible, retain the original packing materials for later use; these can come in handy if the unit has to be transported.

Extraer cuidadosamente la fuente de luz fría XENON NOVA® 175 y sus accesorios de la caja. Revisar si el envío está completo y comprobar posibles averías de transporte. En caso de reclamaciones, dirigirse inmediatamente al fabricante o a la empresa suministradora. Das Gerät ist mit einer Steckvorrichtung 5 für den Potentialausgleich ausgerüstet. Lassen Sie die Erdung ggf. durch sachkundiges Personal durchführen.

The unit is equipped with a connector 5 for attaching an equipotential wire (redundant grounding wire) line. The unit’s equipotential line should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Plug the light cable into socket 3 as far as it will go. To disconnect the light cable pull on the connector, never on the cable itself. Warning: Danger of glare. Never look into the open end of a light cable. Warning: Danger of burns. Contact with the open end of a light cable connected to a cold light fountain can possibly lead to burns.

Connect the light cable to the endoscope by a quarter turn of the knurled collar.

Die 4 Rändelschrauben auf dem Kühlkörper mit der Hand lösen.

Undo the 4 thumbscrews on the heat sink by hand.

Die oberen Hälften des Kühlkörpers entfernen.

Remove the upper halves of the heat sink.

Cuidado: Peligro de quemaduras. La lámpara y el disipador de calor pueden estar calientes. Espere a que la lámpara /el disipador de calor se haya enfriado. Desenrosque con la mano los 4 tornillos moleteados situados en la parte superior del disipador de calor.

Retire las mitades superiores del disipador de calor.

Cuidado: Peligro de explosión. La lámpara está llena de gas XENON a elevada presión. Por tanto, ha de manipularse conla debida precaución y cambiarse solamente por técnicos cualificados en electrotécnica. La lámpara, si se somete a fuertes cargas mecánicas, podría romperse. ¡Lleve gafas de protección! Recomendamos encarecidamente utilizar ropa protectora (máscara protectora, guantes, etc.).

Sie ist deshalb mit der entsprechenden Vorsicht zu behandeln und darf nur von elektrotechnisch ausgebildetem Personal gewechselt werden. Hohe mechanische Belastungen können zum Bruch der Lampe führen. Schutzbrille tragen! Das Tragen von Schutzkleidung (Gesichtsschutz, Handschuhe etc.) wird nachdrücklich empfohlen. Die XENON-Lampe vorsichtig herausnehmen.

Carefully remove the xenon lamp.

Den kompletten Kühlkörper (obere und untere Hälften) mit Wattestäbchen und Spiritus oder ähnlichem sehr gründlich reinigen.

Thoroughly clean the complete heat sink (upper and lower halves) with cotton-tipped applicators and spirit or similar.

Limpie esmeradamente el disipador de calor completo (mitades superior e inferior) con un bastoncillo de algodón y alcohol, o algo similar.

Warning: Danger of explosion. The lamp is filled with xenon gas at very high pressure. It must therefore be handled with appropriate care and must only be replaced by skilled electrical engineers. High mechanical forces could cause the lamp to break. Wear safety goggles! We urgently recommend wearing protective clothing (face protection, gloves, etc).

Die Verwendung von Wärmeleitpaste gewährleistet, dass die Lampe direkten Kontakt mit dem Kühlkörper hat. Vorsicht: Die Wärmeleitpaste sehr sparsam verwenden. Zuviel Wärmeleitpaste kann die Lebensdauer der Lampe verkürzen und zu Zündschwierigkeiten führen. Die Wärmeleitpaste dünn mit einem Wattestäbchen auf alle Stellen auftragen, wo die Lampe mit dem Kühlkörper in Kontakt kommt.

To ensure that the lamp has direct contact with the heat sink, it is necessary to use thermal compound.

La utilización de pasta conductora del calor garantiza el contacto directo de la lámpara con el disipador de calor. Advertencia: Utilice sólo poca cantidad de pasta conductora del calor. Una cantidad excesiva de pasta puede disminuir la vida útil de la lámpara y causar dificultades en el encendido. Aplique una capa fina de pasta conductora con un bastoncillo de algodón en todos los puntos donde la lámpara hace contacto con el disipador de calor.

Caution: The application of the thermal compound must be very sparing. Too much thermal compound can cause shortened lamp life and ignition problems. Using a cotton-tipped applicator, apply a thin film of thermal compound to all the points where the lamp comes into contact with the heat sink.

Vorsicht: Nur die von KARL STORZ empfohlene Original-Ersatzlampe 201320 26 verwenden. Die neue Lampe nicht mit bloßen Fingern berühren. Handschuhe oder Tuch benutzen. Die Berührung der Lampe mit bloßen Fingern kann zu Betriebsstörungen führen. Neue Lampe in die unteren Hälften des Kühlkörpers einlegen. Die oberen Hälften des Kühlkörpers aufsetzen und Rändelschrauben mit der Hand gleichmäßig festdrehen.

Caution: Only use the genuine replacement lamp 201320 26 recommended by KARL STORZ. Do not touch the new lamp with bare fingers; use gloves or a cloth or tissue to handle the lamp. Touching the lamp with bare fingers may result in operational problems. Insert new lamp into the bottom halves of the heat sink. Fit the upper halves of the heat sink and tighten the thumbscrews by hand uniformly.

Advertencia: Utilice sólo la lámpara de repuesto original 201320 26 recomendada por KARL STORZ. Evite el contacto directo de la lámpara con los dedos. Utilice guantes o un paño. El contacto directo de la lámpara con los dedos puede ocasionar averías en el funcionamiento. Introduzca la nueva lámpara en las mitades inferiores del disipador de calor. Coloque las mitades superiores del disipador de calor y enrosque con la mano los tornillos moleteados apretándolos por un igual.

Den Rückstellstift drücken um den Betriebsstundenzähler der Lampe zurückzusetzen.

Press the reset pin to set the lamp’s operating hour counter to zero.

Slide the cover of the unit back on and turn the unit over. Screw the screws back into the bottom of the unit. Reconnect power supply. Test the instrument for proper operation.

Warnung: Vor sämtlichen Reinigungsarbeiten das Gerät vom Netz trennen! Das Lampensystem muss abgekühlt sein. Vorsicht: Unbedingt vermeiden, dass Flüssigkeit in das Gehäuse eindringt. Die Außenfläche des Gerätes ist mit einem desinfektionsmittelbefeuchteten (keine alkoholischen Konzentrate) Einmaltuch zu reinigen.

Warning: Always pull out power plug before cleaning! Make sure the lamp has cooled down. Caution: Avoid allowing fluids to enter the unit. The exterior of the unit must be cleaned with a disposable cloth moistened with disinfectant (no solutions predominantly containing alcohol).

Cuidado: ¡Antes de cualquier trabajo de limpieza, desconecte el equipo de la red! Las lámparas deberán estar frías. Advertencia: Evite a toda costa que penetren líquidos al interior del equipo. Las superficies exteriores del aparato se limpian frotando con un paño desechable humedecido con un producto desinfectante (ningún producto con alcohol concentrado).

Eine vorbeugende Wartung ist nicht zwingend erforderlich. Regelmäßige Wartungen können aber dazu beitragen, eventuelle Störungen frühzeitig zu erkennen und so die Sicherheit und Lebensdauer des Gerätes erhöhen. Wartungsdienste können bei Ihrer zuständigen Gebietsvertretung oder beim Hersteller erfragt werden. Unabhängig von den in den verschiedenen Ländern vorgeschriebenen Unfallverhütungsvorschriften oder Prüfungsintervallen für Medizingeräte empfehlen wir eine Funktions- oder Sicherheitsüberprüfung des Gerätes mindestens einmal im Jahr. Detaillierte Hinweise entnehmen Sie bitte der jeweils gültigen Version des Service Manuals, Bestellnummer SV 3367 (englische Version).

Preventive maintenance is not essential. Regular maintenance can, however, contribute to identifying potential problems before they become serious, thus enhancing the instrument’s reliability and extending its useful operating life. Maintenance services can be obtained from your local representative or from the manufacturer. Regardless of the accident prevention regulations or testing intervals for medical instruments prescribed in different countries, we recommend a functional or safety test of the unit at least once a year. For detailed instructions please refer to the version of the Service Manual currently valid, catalog number SV 3367 (English version).

EI equipo no precisa forzosamente de mantenimiento preventivo. Sin embargo, un mantenimiento periódico puede contribuir a reconocer a tiempo eventuales averías y así aumentar la seguridad y la duración del aparato. EI servicio de mantenimiento es ofrecido por su concesionario local o por el fabricante. Independientemente de las disposiciones legales locales acerca de prevención de accidentes o de intervalos de control técnico de aparatos médicos, recomendamos que se realice por lo menos una vez al año un control de seguridad funcional del aparato. Auf Anfrage stellt der Hersteller ihm verfügbare Schaltpläne, ausführliche Ersatzteillisten, Beschreibungen, Einstellanweisungen und andere Unterlagen bereit, die dem entsprechend qualifizierten und vom Hersteller autorisierten Personal des Anwenders beim Reparieren von Geräteteilen, die vom Hersteller als reparierbar bezeichnet werden, von Nutzen sind. Das Verfügen über technische Unterlagen zum Gerät stellt auch für technisch geschultes Personal keine Autorisierung durch den Hersteller zum Öffnen oder Reparieren des Gerätes dar. Ausgenommen sind im Text der vorliegenden Gebrauchsanweisung beschriebene Eingriffe.

On request, the manufacturer will provide those circuit diagrams, itemized parts listings, descriptions, sets of adjustment instructions, and other items of available documentation to suitably qualified user personnel duly authorized by the manufacturer for their use in repairing those components of the instrument that have been designated as reparable by their respective manufacturers. Supply of such technical documentation relating to the instrument shall not be construed as constituting manufacturer’s authorization of user’s personnel, regardless of their level of technical training, to open or repair the instrument. Explicitly exempted herefrom are those maintenance and repair operations described in this manual.

Manuelle (Vor-)Reinigung: Die Lichtkabel können mit einem für Endoskope freigegebenen Reinigungs-/Desinfektionsmittel gereinigt werden. Die Lichtkabel mit einem desinfizierten Schwamm oder Einmaltuch, getränkt mit Reinigungslösung, abwischen.* 2. Desinfektion: Durch Einlegen in Lösung (siehe Anhang, S. 29, 30).* * zu 1./2. Das Lichtkabel muss nach jedem manuellen Reinigungs- oder Desinfektionsvorgang rückstandslos gespült werden. Bei der letzten Spülung ist unbedingt mikrobiologisch einwandfreies/steriles Wasser zu verwenden. 3. Maschinelle thermische Dekontamination (bis 93 °C)

Manual (preliminary) cleaning: The light cables may be cleaned using a cleaning agent/disinfectant which is specially approved for endoscopes. Wipe the outside of the light cables with a disinfected sponge or disposable cloth soaked in cleaning solution.* 2. Disinfection: immerse in a disinfection solution (see Appendix, page 29, 30).* * re 1./2. The light cable must always be rinsed until it is free of all residue after it has been cleaned or disinfected manually. Microbiologically pure/sterile water must be used for the final rinsing.

Hartnäckige Verschmutzungen und Beläge auf den Glasflächen werden mit Reinigungspaste (Art.-Nr. 27661) entfernt. 5. Sterilisation: Dampfsterilisation bei 134 °C (+3 °C), STERIS SYSTEM1®, Gas- oder Plasmasterilisation.

Folgende von KARL STORZ hergestellte Instrumente und Optiken sind nicht für ein komplettes Einlegen in Flüssigkeiten geeignet: Optiken mit Okularfokussierung n. HAMOU®, Lupen mit Fokussierung, IMPERATOR Bohrhandstücke, Prismenscheinwerfer. Bei Motoren und deren Handstücken sind die Angaben in der jeweiligen Gebrauchsanweisung zu beachten. Folgende von KARL STORZ hergestellte Instrumente sind nicht für eine Ultraschallreinigung geeignet: Starre Optiken, Flexible Optiken, sonstige Instrumente mit optischen Glasbauteilen. Beachten Sie bitte, dass bei der Herstellung und Anwendung der Lösungen die Herstellerangaben über Konzentration und Einwirkungszeit genauestens zu beachten sind. Bezüglich der mikrobiologischen Wirksamkeit wenden Sie sich bitte an den Hersteller. Folgende Mittel sind von KARL STORZ freigegeben bzgl. der Materialkompatibilität:

The following instruments and telescopes produced by KARL STORZ must not be fully immersed in a liquid: HAMOU® telescopes with ocular focusing, magnifiers with focusing, IMPERATOR drill handles, prismatic light deflectors. For motors and their handles the appropriate manual provides detailed information. The following instruments produced by KARL STORZ must not be placed in an ultrasound cleaning bath: rigid telescopes, flexible telescopes, other instruments with optical components made of glass. When preparing and using the solutions, follow the solution manufacturer's instructions, paying close attention to concentration and exposure times. Regarding the microbiological effectiveness please ask the manufacturer. The following cleaning and disinfectant solutions have been approved regarding material compatibility:

WARNUNG: Medizinische elektrische Geräte unterliegen besonderen Vorsichtsmaßnahmen hinsichtlich der Elektromagnetischen Verträglichkeit (EMV). Beachten Sie die in diesem Anhang angegebenen EMV-Hinweise bei Installation und Betrieb.

WARNING: Medical electrical equipment needs special precautions regarding Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC). Observe the EMC instructions in this appendix, as well as the instruction manual, during installation and commissioning.

Die XENON NOVA® 175 Modell 201315 20 entspricht der EN/IEC 60601-1-2 :2001 [CISPR 11 Klasse B] und erfüllt somit die EMV-Anforderungen der Medical Device Directive (MDD) 93/42/EEC. Die verwendeten Grenzwerte bieten ein grundlegendes Maß an Sicherheit gegenüber typischen elektromagnetischen Beeinflussungen, wie sie in einer medizinischen Umgebung zu erwarten sind. Die XENON NOVA® Modell 201315 20 ist ein Gerät der Gruppe 1 (nach CISPR 11). In die Gruppe 1 gehören „Geräte und Systeme, die HF-Energie ausschließlich für ihre interne Funktion erzeugen oder nutzen“.

The XENON NOVA® 175 model 201315 20 corresponds to EN/IEC 60601-1-2 :2001 [CISPR 11 Class B] and therefore meets the EMC requirements of the Medical Device Directive (MDD) 93/42/EEC. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against the typical electromagnetic interference to be expected in a medical environment. The XENON NOVA® 175 model 201315 20 is a Group 1 unit (as per CISPR 11). Group 1 contains all the ‘equipment and systems which generate or use RF energy only for their internal functioning’.

If this equipment does cause harmful interference with other devices, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: • reorient or relocate the receiving device • increase the separation between the equipment • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the other device(s) is connected. NOTA: Las tablas y directivas incorporadas en este Anexo le proporcionan al cliente o al usuario indicaciones básicas para decidir si el equipo o sistema es adecuado para las condiciones del entorno CEM imperantes, o adoptar las medidas que puedan tomarse con el fin de utilizar el equipo / sistema conforme al uso previsto, sin que el mismo llegue a interferir sobre otros equipos para uso medicinal o no medicinal. Si aparecen interferencias electromagnéticas durante la utilización del equipo, el usuario puede eliminarlas aplicando las siguientes medidas: • modificación de la orientación o selección de otro lugar de emplazamiento • aumento de la distancia entre cada uno de los equipos • conexión de los equipos a circuitos eléctricos diferentes.
