Entnehmen Sie das SCB Interface control und das Zubehör vorsichtig der V ­ erpackung. Überprüfen Sie die Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit und auf eventuelle Beschädigungen. Sollte die Lieferung Anlass zur Reklamation geben, so wenden Sie sich bitte umgehend an den Hersteller oder Lieferanten. Wenn möglich, bewahren Sie die Originalver­packung auf, sie kann bei einem Transport des Gerätes nützlich sein.

Carefully unpack the SCB Interface control and ­remove the unit and its accessories from their packaging. Check for missing items and evidence of shipping damage. File any complaints with the manufacturer or ­sup­­plier immediately. If possible, retain the original packing materials for later use; these can come in handy if the unit has to be transported.

The label strips are available in various lan­ guages. Undo the four screws on the bottom of the unit (Torx key 10). Remove the housing cover by sliding it off toward the rear. Loosen the left front side cover carefully with a screwdriver.

Remove any unmarked label strips. Slide the label strip between the plastic and the metal front. Fold the strip along the marking line so that the side cover can be refitted with­out any obstructions.

Replace the side cover.

mentos de mando o de indicación del apara­ to. Estas tarjetas se suministran en diversos idiomas. Afloje los cuatro tornillos en el lado inferior del aparato (llave de pipa Torx 10). Retire la tapa de la carcasa, deslizándola hacia atrás. Afloje cuidadosamente con un destornillador el lado izquierdo de la cubierta lateral anterior.

Si es necesario, retire las tarjetas de identificación existentes y no rotuladas. Deslice la tarjeta de identificación entre la lámina decorativa y la chapa frontal. Doble la tarjeta por la línea marcada, de modo que sea posible colocar la cubierta lateral sin i­ mpedimentos. Vuelva a montar la cubierta lateral.

Das beiliegende SCB-Kabel an eine der Buchsen  anschließen (die beiden SCB-Buchsen sind gleichwertig). Das andere Ende des SCB-Kabels mit dem OR1™ control (KARL STORZ Communication Bus) bzw. weiteren SCB-Geräten verbinden (siehe hierzu ­Gebrauchsanweisung KARL STORZ SCB control System).

Connect the accompanying SCB cable to one of the sockets  (the two sockets are interchangeable). Connect the other end of the SCB cable to the OR1™ control (KARL STORZ Communication Bus) or other SCB units (see the KARL STORZ SCB control System ­instruction manual for this).

Units which have an RS 232 interface and have been integrated into the SCB concept by KARL STORZ can be controlled via these interface modules.

The RS 232 connectors  …  (D-Sub) are always present, but their functionality depends on the unit configuration. Interface modules which have been fitted, and the accompanying unit, can be recognized from the label strips . Connect the RS 232 connecting cable to the RS 232 connector * (if necessary, remove the protective cap; see arrow). Connect the other end of the connecting cable to the appropriate external unit. * RS 232 connector  = first interface module,  = second interface module etc.

CAUTION: Always observe the instruction manual of the respective external unit.

Los módulos de interfaz equipados y el aparato respectivo se reconocen en la tarjeta de identificación . Conecte el cable de conexión RS 232 al conector RS 232 * (si es necesario, retire la caperuza protectora (véase flecha). Conecte el otro extremo del cable de conexión al aparato externo correspondiente. * Conector RS 232  = primer módulo de interfaz,  = segundo módulo de interfaz, etc. ADVERTENCIA: Preste siempre atención al Manual de instrucciones del aparato ex­ terno respectivo.

Netzkabel anschließen, Netzstecker bis zum Anschlag in Netzbuchse  einschieben. WARNUNG: Verbinden bzw. trennen Sie den Netzstecker nur außerhalb explosi­ onsgefährdeter Bereiche mit bzw. von der Stromversorgung. HINWEIS: Bitte achten Sie darauf, dass am Aufstellort die Zugänglichkeit zum Netzstecker gewährleistet bleibt. VORSICHT: Immer die Gebrauchsanweisung des jeweiligen Schnittstellenmoduls beachten.

Connect power cord. Insert pow­er cord into p ­ ower cord receptacle  as far as it will go. WARNING: Only insert the power plug into and remove it from electrical outlets located outside areas subject to explosion hazards. NOTE: Please ensure that access to the ­power plug is ensured at the site of ­installation.
