Clario series Replacement of Membrane Service Notes Nov 2011

Introduction

In the past, we noticed that the requirement to replace defective Clario membranes was steadily increasing. However, so far this was not possible because spare parts and appropriate tools were not available. Until now, the only way to fix a defective membrane was to exchange the entire drive unit (Art. No. 200.0334 or 200.0335). With this service note we would like to instruct you how to handle and replace defective membranes.

Who is authorized to exchange the Clario Membrane? –– Service engineers who have the required equipment (removal pliers and mounting device). –– They need to have the relevant training, knowledge and practical experience to be able to guarantee a correct and professional repair.

Which Clario Membrane can be exchanged? On Clarios with S/N 1163227 or higher piston rod and ­m embrane are screwed together. Replacement of the ­m embrane is possible.

On Clarios with S/N 1163226 and lower, the piston rod and membrane are made from one piece. It is not possible to replace the single membrane. As before, use "Spare Part Housing with motor/Membrane"

Which Clario Membrane can be exchanged? In order to replace the membrane, you must use the following tools: left:
